  1. Where is Merriam School?

  2. How do I register a new student?
    The Acton-Boxborough Regional District site has information about New Student Registration for all grades.
  3. What do I do if my student is sick or late for school?
    Call the “Safe Arrival” attendance line/late arrival number and leave your child's name, grade, classroom and brief reason for lateness or absence before school starts. Safe Arrival Number: (978) 264-3373
  4. Where can I find Attendance/Tardy Policy information?
    The Attendance Policy is in the Merriam Handbook.
  5. Where do I find bus routes and schedules?
    The District site has information about Bus Routes and Schedules for all grades.
  6. How do I dismiss my student from school?
    Students should bring a signed dismissal form to their classroom in the morning on the day they need to be dismissed. Indicate on the dismissal form if the student is to be dismissed at the end of the day or at what time during the school day they are to be dismissed. For emergency dismissals ONLY, call the Merriam office: (978) 264-4700, ext. 3751.
  7. How do I find the lunch menu?
    The District site lists Lunch Menus for all grades.
  8. What is the process for filling out a CORI form to volunteer at Merriam?
    CORI – Criminal Offense Record Investigation reports are mandatory for all volunteers. To apply for CORI approval, you must come in person to the Merriam Office and bring your license. It only takes 3 minutes to apply. The processing of your approval can take up to two weeks. You will only be informed if there is a problem.
  9. Where can I find MCAS information?
    MCAS Information is on the District Website.
  10. How do I update my contact information?
    Parents and guardians can log in to the Power School On-line Emergency Card System to supply contact information in case of an emergency. Call the Merriam Office if you do not have a username and password. Typically parents fill these cards out at the beginning of the school year.

  12. How do I purchase lunch tickets?

  13. What is the best way to contact teachers during the day?
    As you can appreciate, teachers are very busy during the school day. If you need to contact a teacher, the best method is to send e-mail or leave a voicemail. Teachers will generally respond to e-mail and voicemail at the end of the school day. If you need to reach a teacher urgently, contact the main office staff and they will get a message to the teacher.
