Easy Vanilla Cupcakes

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of milk

  • 1 ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup white granulated sugar

  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted softened butter

  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit

  2. Line a muffin tin with 12 paper liners.

  3. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Mix in the egg until combined.

  5. Add vanilla extract, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

  6. Put half of the flour, then half the milk, then the rest of the flour and finally the rest of the milk.

  7. Whisk until just mixed in.

  8. Scoop the batter into the pan and bake for 18-20 minutes.

  9. Cool on a wire rack.

Strawberry sorbet

  1. Remove the tops of one pound of strawberries. Cut the strawberries in half

  2. Spread the strawberries out on a tray. Freeze for one hour.

  3. Take strawberries out and put in blender. Pour in ¼ cup honey and blend until smooth.

  4. Put mix into metal pan and freeze until set.

*You can also substitute other fruits for the strawberries!

Blueberry Cream Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups milk or cream

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


  • 9 inch prebaked graham cracker pie crust


  • 1 cup fresh washed blueberries


  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar


Directions:

  1. Put the milk or cream, sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks in a microwave safe large bowl and whisk them until they’re combined

  2. Microwave the bowl for 3 minutes, then stop and whisk. Then, repeat for every minute thereafter, too

  3. Add butter and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Chill the cream for an hour in the fridge

  4. Pour the cream filling into the pie crust and smooth out with a rubber spatula. Chill for at least 2 hours

  5. Beat the chilled cream in a chilled bowl with a chilled beater until it starts to thicken

  6. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and whip until it reaches soft peaks

  7. Spread the cool whipped cream on the chille pie and top off with blueberries

  8. Chill the pie for at least 2 hours so it’s firm for when you serve. Enjoy!

Homemade Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of creamy peanut butter

  • 1 banana

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • ¼ cup of oats

  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour

  • Small pinch of salt

  • 1 large egg yolk

  • ½ cup of milk


Make them:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. Grease two baking sheets.

  3. Cut the banana in half, then eat one half. Put the other half in a small bowl and mash it with a spoon.

  4. In a large bowl, combine the egg yolk, the banana, the milk and the peanut butter with a wooden spoon gently until mixed.

  5. Gradually add the flour, pinch of salt, baking powder, and oats until it forms a thick dough

  6. Now, flour your work surface and cookie cutter(s) with oats and flour. Roll out your dough onto the work surface and cut out different shapes as you prefer! A nice idea is to make small training treats!

  7. Bake the cookies for about 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on the edges and hard.

  8. Cool them in their baking sheets, then transfer the biscuits to a wire rack. Hopefully your dog enjoys!



Crunchy Chocolate Bark Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 8 oz of semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips

  2. About 6 plain cookies

  3. 1/2 cup of very lightly salted pretzels

  4. 1 cup of M&Ms

Instructions:

  1. Line two baking sheets with parchment or wax paper.

  2. Put the plain cookies into a plastic zipper bag. Shortbread cookies will work very well. Then, take a rolling pin and gently pound the closed bag until the cookies are turned into a crushed crumb.

  3. Do the same thing with the pretzels

  4. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl at 30 second intervals until it is melted at a nice consistency.

  5. Working quickly, spread the chocolate onto the lined baking sheets evenly.

  6. Add the toppings on top by sprinkling them and be creative!

  7. Let the chocolate set until hardened and cool. Now, break them up into cool shards in whatever sizes and shapes you want.

  8. Store the chocolate bark in airtight containers. Enjoy them!

Homemade 2-ingredient ice cream

Ingredients:

  1. 600 milligrams (2½ cups.) pouring or pure cream

  2. 400 milligrams (a little less than 1¾ cups.) sweetened, condensed milk

  3. 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Steps:

  1. In a large bowl, pour in the pouring or pure cream

  2. If you want to add vanilla, add it now

  3. Whip until stiff

  4. Fold in sweetened, condensed milk

  5. Pour the mix into an airtight plastic container

  6. Put the container into the freezer overnight if preferable, but 6-8 hours will be good.

Oreo cookie truffles

  1. Put Oreos into a bag and crush to crumbs.

  2. Set ¼ cup of cookie crumbs aside for garnish (optional).

  3. Combine Oreo crumbs and cream cheese in a medium-size bowl and mix until smooth and dark brown.

  4. Shape truffle mix into 1-inch round balls and set aside on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Melt 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels in a small pot on low heat on the stove.

  6. Stir frequently, but not constantly.*

  7. Remove pot from heat immediately when most, but not all, of the chocolate is melted. Stir chocolate continuously until smooth, shiny, and completely melted.**

  8. Roll 2-3 truffles at a time in pot of melted chocolate until fully coated.

  9. Remove truffles from pot, place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.

  10. Once all truffles have been coated, let them sit in the refrigerator for 45 minutes until firm.\



Cheesecake-filled Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese

  • ½ cup of confectioner’s sugar

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

  • Large strawberries

  • Chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Wash and cut the leaves off all your strawberries; then, scoop out the inside with a knife and spoon

  2. Beat the cream cheese, vanilla extract and confectioner’s sugar together until they are smooth and creamy

  3. Put them into a piping bag, then fill all the strawberries

  4. Melt the chocolate, and drizzle it over the strawberries. Enjoy!

Ingredients

    1. Flour

    2. Baking soda

    3. Salt

    4. Suger

    5. Chocolate chips

    6. Brown sugar

Directions

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Then place that mixture in a mason jar. After that layer sugar, brown sugar, and chocolate chips!
